The Prime Minister visited the Australian Humanitarian Relief Supplies Logistics Warehouse Facility in Brisbane today.

The warehouse facility was the main source of relief supplies that was brought directly to Fiji following Cyclone Winston. PM Bainimarama was pleased to also meet with the staff who coordinated the relief supply and thanked them for their support and assistance in ensuring that Fijians have access to immediate relief supplies following Cyclone Winston.

The PM also visited ‘Majans Pty Ltd’ – s snack manufacturing company in Brisbane with links to Fiji. The Company was founded and incorporated in 1960 where the business started creating and selling confectionery and spices in Ba. In 1980, a state-of-the-art plant was commissioned capable of producing snack foods and confectionery including bubble gum and chocolates.

In 1984 Majans was established in Brisbane where it quickly grew a thriving import and distribution operation. In 2008 Majans broke into the US Market. PM Bainimarama was pleased to note the company’s success. To find out more, click here.
